Christian worldview – teach from the conviction that all truth is God’s truth

History- and literature-based curriculum

  • Chronological study of history using primary source documents rather than simply using textbooks
  • Timelines and geography used as building blocks
  • Living Books – study of the greatest literature of past and present in a way that reinforces the history being studied
  • Phonetics-based reading program

Advanced math and science study enhanced with hands-on exercises, manipulatives, and lab work or nature studies for the younger grades

Music and music history (composers of the month and their major works are studied)

Art and art history (artists of the quarter and their major works are studied by grade level)

Foreign language – Spanish for K-3rd and Latin beginning in 4th grade ( after-school Spanish offered in grades 4-6)

Structured physical education, free play, dance and games; athletic teams grades 4-6

Chapel held weekly (will familiarize students with traditional hymns and seasons of the church calendar, and will include scripture reading and memorization)

Recitation assembly each six weeks (students memorize and recite from primary sources, prose, poetry or scripture)

“Living History” Fair, Shakespeare Festival, outdoor adventure trips and other educational extracurricular activities
