National Merit Semifinalist
Senior Jonathan McElroy has been named Live Oak's first National Merit Semifinalist. About 1.5 million high school juniors enter the National Merit Scholarship Program each year by taking the PSAT/NMSQT, but only about 16,000 (less than one percent) are named Semifinalists, and Jonathan is one of only five from the Waco area for 2012. In addition, senior Stephen Carter has been named a National Merit Commended Scholar.Acceptances – Fall 2012
