Christian worldview – teach from the conviction that all truth is God’s truth
History- and literature-based curriculum
- Chronological study of history using primary source documents rather than simply using textbooks
- Timelines and geography used as building blocks
- Living Books – study of the greatest literature of past and present in a way that reinforces the history being studied
- Phonetics-based reading program
Traditional math and science study enhanced with hands-on exercises, manipulatives, and lab work; nature studies for the younger grades
Music and music history (study a number of composers and their major works each year)
Art and art history (study a number of artists and their major works each year)
Foreign language (Spanish for K-2nd and Latin beginning in 3rd grade)
Structured physical education, free play, dance and games; athletic teams planned for upper schools
Chapel held weekly (will familiarize students with traditional hymns and seasons of the church calendar, and will include scripture reading and memorization)
Recitation assembly each six weeks (students memorize and recite from primary sources, prose, poetry or scripture)
Inclusion of home school families through block scheduling of electives
“Living History” Fair, Shakespeare Festival, outdoor adventure trips and other educational extracurricular activities
