This is how we will leave for the track meet Thursday: I will leave the school at about 2:15 with Jacob, Karter, Harrison, and Matthew to arrive in time for the 2 mile which starts about 4:30.(only Jacob is running this at this point, but I needed to take 3 more in my car to have room for everyone else in the van). Coach Vardeman will leave the school (gym parking lot) with everyone else in the van at 3:45. All running events start at 6:00 with the relay being first (you can ask your child if they are on a relay team), and the 1 mile being the last event. I dont have any idea what time we will be back, but we will call you and let you know. They will have plenty of food for purchase at the concession stand, so PLEASE send $ and/or snacks with your child. They will also need lots of warm layers to wear-it will be evening, and we all know how chilly it has been lately. We learned this the hard way last year at a track meet and everyone was miserable. Better to be over prepared-blankets are also a great thing to have. If anyone has a tent we could easily and quickly set up for the kids to hang out in while waiting for their event, let me know. I am looking forward to a fun and rewarding experience for all those competing with us.
