February has flown by! This week we find ourselves in the month of March, and with it comes some time to rest and rejuvenate. Before you gear up for Spring Break, buckle down for one last week of work:

Homework due Monday: Wordly Wise A-C of Lesson 16; Revise 1st quatrain of sonnet, and write the 2nd quatrain (or more).

We will finish our reading of A Midsummer Night’s Dream this week. We will also continue working on our sonnets and History Fair essays. Our goal for this week is to have ALL our body paragraphs written and revised before spring break. We can do it! Body paragraph 3 is not due until Tuesday.

Expect to work on your punctuation this week, and we will have our usual vocabulary quiz on Tuesday.

Monday: Chapter 5 Quiz! Use your logic squares and your chapter to help you study for it. You also have a study guide.

Tuesday – Friday: Agenda TBA in class. For now, just concentrate on Monday’s quiz.

Our memory work for this week will include last week’s verses and two new ones (so it will be Matthew 5:31-34).

Dear Logic Parents,

This year our Logic students will be performing a cut version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The performances will be Thursday, March 18th at 1:45pm and Friday March 19th in the evening (time TBA).

The week of the play, your students have after school rehearsal until 6:00 pm. This includes Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday March 15-17. (Dress rehearsal on the 17th.) If your student is unable to attend any portion of these rehearsals, please let me know as soon as possible. An afterschool snack is highly recommended on theses days.

In regards to costumes, we are well underway. All tunics, togas and woodland tunics have been procured in the costume closet. However there are a few basics your student needs to procure on their own. Hopefully these are things you already have at home or can be easily bought at a Wal-Mart type store. Please find your students name or their character in the information that follows and procure what is needed for their costume by Feb. 4h . Please send these items with your student to school that day. Shanie Wenzel has become our point person for costumes and you may contact her with questions at swenzel@liveoakclassical.com.

a shirt (can be a tank top, short sleeve, or leotard)

a skirt or tutu (some of which we are making in class)

accessories

Roman gentlemen: Toney G, Anthony A., Samuel M., Cullen H., Drew M., Josh C., Zach G.,
