Spring Break Extended for Students

Live Oak Families,

As we have stated previously, Live Oak has been carefully monitoring news and announcements related to the COVID-19 virus.  Because the health and safety of the Live Oak community is our highest priority, I have made the decision in consultation with the Live Oak Board of Trustees to extend Spring Break for students through next week. We plan to resume classes on campus on Monday, March 23, subject of course to further analysis of developing events.

Many schools around the country have extended their spring breaks and announced that instruction for some period of time thereafter will not be done in person.  Over the course of the next week, the Live Oak administration will implement a plan that allows students to receive instruction beginning the week of Monday, March 23, even if we cannot resume in-person classes on campus.

We ask for your patience as we address other Live Oak-sponsored events, including field trips and athletic events.  We will communicate with you separately about events that are rescheduled or cancelled.

We will continue to update you by email and on our website at the link below.  You may also submit any questions through the website.

Please pray for all those who have been impacted by this outbreak and those who are fighting to end it.
