Grammar School | Students will be dropped off in front of the Grammar Building. Parents may enter the carline OR walk their child into school (please park along the street or the back two rows of the Pignetti’s parking lot ONLY).

Logic School | Drop off at the Pam & Steve Wilson Gymnasium for a First Day Assembly.
- Rhetoric School | Drop off at the front of the Logic & Rhetoric building.

Follow the Uniform Guide | The Uniform Guide is THE source for knowing what to wear on the first – and every day – of school. Please check it to ensure your child arrives in the proper attire.

Grammar Boys: Pants or Shorts? | On most chapel days (Wednesday), Grammar boys can wear khaki shorts. However, tomorrow they should wear pants in accordance with the requirement for all-school services (Convocation).

No PE Uniform for Grammar & Logic | Normally, 4th-8th grade students will also have PE/Athletics on Wednesday, but they will not do so on the first day. You can leave these items at home!

Grace Period & Dean Communication | We realize that some uniform items are backordered and may not arrive in time for tomorrow. Hence, the grace period for complete uniform compliance until Labor Day. Deans will also continue to communicate about uniform standards and modifications, if any, as the semester continues.

Hot lunch orders must be submitted for the month of September by Tuesday, August 25 @ 11:59 PM and hot lunches will begin on Monday, August 31. Log into FACTS to order. Aftercare Program | Live Oak provides an after-school program for students until 5:30 PM, beginning on the first day of school. For more information about the Aftercare Program, please visit the “General School Information” section of The Standard. If space allows, daily drop-in options are available, or signup for the semester HERE.

LBSD Dance Classes (JK-G2) | Young dancers will explore the joy of movement through ballet history, cultural dance, and foundational technique with LO parent and professional dance instructor L. Brooke Schlecte. This class builds body awareness, encourages personal expression, and promotes collaboration—all while developing a lifelong appreciation for dance. Sessions are Thursdays until 3:55 PM. SIGNUP FOR LBSD DANCE.

Group Piano Lessons (Kinder) | Calling all kindergarteners! Join LO mom Mrs. Jeanne Schafer on Mondays for small group piano lessons following the Musikgarten method. SIGNUP FOR KINDER PIANO.

Spirit Squad (4th-6th Girls) | Spirit Squad’s mission is to increase school spirit and build the foundation for the LO cheer program. Girls will learn cheers, dances, stunts, and basic tumbling skills – no experience is necessary! Practices are Wednesdays 3:45-4:45 PM (August-February). Registration is $150.
