Decidedly Christian. Distinctively Classical.

The Admissions Process

STEP ONE

Inquire

For most families, the application process begins by visiting with one of our Admissions Coordinators so that we can learn more about your child. Click “Inquire” to complete the Inquiry Form and get started.

STEP TWO

Visit

After completing the Inquiry Form, we invite you to schedule a campus visit so that you can observe our learning environment and school culture firsthand. At this point, you may also find it beneficial for your child to shadow a Live Oak student for a day. Shadow days are recommended for children currently enrolled in third grade and above. Contact our Admissions Coordinators to learn more.

STEP THREE

Apply

Applications for the upcoming academic year are accepted beginning November 1. Click “Apply” to begin an online application for each child you are seeking to enroll. A $125 non-refundable fee is required to finalize each application.

STEP FOUR

Student Assessment

Once a complete application is submitted, a grade-specific readiness assessment will be scheduled for your child. Assessments are typically conducted in the spring to provide a baseline for current academic standing and any resources that may be essential to help your child thrive. Students applying for grades JK-G1 participate in an academic/developmental assessment held at Live Oak. Students applying for G2-R2 are required to take the ISEE entrance exam. You can view testing dates and locations at www.iseetest.org. Complete steps for assessment can be found by clicking the button below.

STEP FIVE

Parent Interview

Once your application and student assessment are reviewed, you may be invited to participate in a parent interview. The parent interview is a vital step in the admissions process and provides time for our administration to learn more about you and your interest in Classical, Christian education.

What Live Oak Means To Our Community
While putting my 4 year old child to bed we normally sing songs as he drifts off to sleep that are gospel or hymnal songs. After three months of being a Junior Kindergarten student at Live Oak, my son informed me that tonight he wanted me to sing a new song. I asked him what song, and he replied, “Sing the Doxology, Dad.” He then sang the song for me, and in that moment my heart was touched as I realized the everlasting qualities Live Oak was assisting me as a parent through planting the seeds of songs to God that will carry with my son for a lifetime. This is only one story, and I must say that my heart is touched, changed, and blessed beyond measure by Live Oak through the overflow of my child’s education but even more by his deepening love for our Savior Jesus Christ.
