Fine Arts

Celebrating The Ultimate Creator

Fine arts are a vital part of Live Oak Classical School, where we believe that pursuing the arts encourages our students to seek wholeheartedly after the Source of all truth, goodness, and beauty. Students who participate in musical, studio and performing arts have the opportunity to develop self-discipline, a desire for excellence, creativity and imagination, confidence, and a deep and lasting appreciation for beauty.

In the Grammar School, all students enjoy music and art as an integral part of the core curriculum. From singing in choir and learning the fundamentals of art to participating in plays, they experience the delight and wonder of the world around them, learning to use their unique voices to glorify their Creator.

In the Logic & Rhetoric Schools, students have the freedom to build upon that strong foundation in the arts and may choose from a wide variety of exceptional fine arts electives. Along with participation in high school musicals and plays and choir concerts throughout the year, there are numerous opportunities to perform and participate in local and state competitions.

Friends of Fine Arts

Live Oak Classical School’s Friends of Fine Arts (FOFA) seeks to enhance, promote, and encourage fine arts opportunities for our students and school community. FOFA supporters are the hands and feet that will inspire our entire Live Oak community to contribute their time, talent, and resources in support of fine arts. What Live Oak Means To Our Community
While putting my 4 year old child to bed we normally sing songs as he drifts off to sleep that are gospel or hymnal songs. After three months of being a Junior Kindergarten student at Live Oak, my son informed me that tonight he wanted me to sing a new song. I asked him what song, and he replied, “Sing the Doxology, Dad.” He then sang the song for me, and in that moment my heart was touched as I realized the everlasting qualities Live Oak was assisting me as a parent through planting the seeds of songs to God that will carry with my son for a lifetime. This is only one story, and I must say that my heart is touched, changed, and blessed beyond measure by Live Oak through the overflow of my child’s education but even more by his deepening love for our Savior Jesus Christ.
