| Uniform & Dress Code FAQS |
-
What’s changing with Chapel Dress? Chapel and Concert Dress have essentially merged. All boys will now wear khaki pants and socks. All girls will now wear plaid skirts (or jumpers for JK-G3) and one of three shoe options with white fold over socks. Blazers are only for juniors and seniors. Plaid ties (boys) and green scarves (girls) are now worn weekly on Wednesday in Logic and Rhetoric. See the guide for visual reminders and details.
- No hoodies – but how do students stay warm? The Guide details multiple style options available on Lands’ End in Live Oak colors. All layering items must have a school logo in chest pocket-style on the front.
-
What do L/R students wear for Athletics and where can I purchase? See “Uniform Clarification” note in the “Spirit…” section above (Note: 6th graders can wear this OR the Lands’ End PE uniform).

TEFA Families: Funds Received Earlier than Expected |
The Comptroller changed the final payment – 50% of the total award – from April to February 1, 2027, enabling families to transfer the final installment to Live Oak two months earlier than expected. The payment schedule is now: 25% by 7/1 (or August if you did not select LO as your school by 6/1), 25% by 10/1, and remaining 50% by 2/1. |

Key Staff in Henderson Cup Victory |
For the second consecutive, Live Oak was named the TAPPS 3A Henderson Cup recipient, signifying the school’s top-placing finish in academics, athletics, and fine arts competition over all other 3A schools! This accomplishment would not be possible without outgoing Director of Athletics Brice Helton, Director of Fine Arts Natalie Eberlein, and College Counselor Amber McCreery who devoted countless hours to these competitive efforts. TAPPS also recognized Live Oak Classical as Fine Arts Overall Champion and Boys Overall Athletic Champion. Individual honors included: Coach of the Year (Kyle Combs), Athlete of the Year (Audrey Pahmiyer), and Fine Art Student of the Year (Hewson Doolittle).

| Ellie Tyson | Class of 2022 |
Meet Ellie Tyson, one of our 322 alumni who is devoting her heart, soul, and mind to wise pursuits for God’s glory! After graduation, Ellie went on to Texas State University and currently serves with Athletes in Action. Ellie’s desire to see lives changed for Christ recently led her on a mission trip to Puerto Rico where she served in a children’s home and shared her faith on and off the soccer field. In Ellie’s words: “I am passionate about building a Christ centered community where athletes can grow in their faith, be deeply known, and walk confidently in their identity in Christ. The Lord led me to Athletes in Action through my love for sports photography. Now, I get to walk alongside athletes as they navigate both their sport and their faith, helping equip them to live boldly for Jesus and impact their teams, campus, and beyond.”

The Meaning of “Live Oak” Classical School |
The “Live” in Live Oak Classical bears two meanings: firstly, Charlotte Mason, a classical educator who is very influential for the school, was a great proponent of children spending time in nature and focusing on “living” books; secondly, we hope to awaken children’s minds to an abundant life made possible by a fully integrated Christian worldview. Also key in the selection of the name was the “oaks” biblical image from our school verse:
|
“So they will be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.” ~ Isaiah 61:3b |
