Live Oak’s Giving Philosophy

As an independent school, Live Oak relies solely upon tuition fees, proceeds from fundraising events and initiatives, and charitable donations to meet the operating expenses of the school. Much of what God has accomplished at Live Oak has been financed through gifts large and small. We are honored by your heartfelt gifts no matter the size, knowing that God blesses the sacrificial and faithful giver (Luke 21:1-4). We trust that God will meet our needs in accordance with your faithful giving, and we pledge to steward those gifts toward enduring value for the future of our students, our school, and God’s kingdom. We also pledge to share with you the ways that God is blessing your gifts. We look forward to sharing with you! To be added to our mailing list, please contact: LOCSadvancement@liveoakclassical.com.

Gift Purposes

General and Year End Giving
Live Oak benefits greatly from your periodic and year end giving. Unless otherwise specified, your gifts will be applied at the discretion of the school in support of various programs and initiatives.

Acorn Society
Gifts made to the Acorn Society directly support fine arts, athletics, teacher appreciation, and other events and programs that foster school community. Funds raised through the Acorn Society empower the vital efforts of parent organizations including Parent Council, Booster Club, and Friends of Fine Arts.

Tuition Assistance
Approximately 25% of Live Oak families rely on tuition assistance to enroll their children. Your giving directly supports families who would otherwise be unable to afford a Live Oak education.

Campus Security
Your giving helps provide a uniformed officer during school hours and special events to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our students and staff.

The Faculty Fund
The Faculty Fund gives families the opportunity to directly bless our faculty and staff who tirelessly devote themselves to our students. Gifts made to the Faculty Fund are distributed at Christmas time and the end of the school year, making a significant and timely impact on our faculty/staff community.

What Live Oak Means To Our Community
While putting my 4 year old child to bed we normally sing songs as he drifts off to sleep that are gospel or hymnal songs. After three months of being a Junior Kindergarten student at Live Oak, my son informed me that tonight he wanted me to sing a new song. I asked him what song, and he replied, “Sing the Doxology, Dad.” He then sang the song for me, and in that moment my heart was touched as I realized the everlasting qualities Live Oak was assisting me as a parent through planting the seeds of songs to God that will carry with my son for a lifetime. This is only one story, and I must say that my heart is touched, changed, and blessed beyond measure by Live Oak through the overflow of my child’s education but even more by his deepening love for our Savior Jesus Christ.
