GRACE Fund

GRACE Fund

For many years, Live Oak’s Parent Council faithfully organized a gifting effort to bless our faculty and staff at Christmas and at the end of the school year. This year, we continue this spirit of giving by encouraging families to make a contribution to the schoolwide GRACE Fund. This fund gives families the opportunity to directly bless our faculty and staff with a Christmas time bonus – to Give Richly at Christmas to Everyone. This will take the place of the traditional gathering of funds by a Grammar room parent or LR liaison at Christmas and the end of the year. Charitable contributions made to the GRACE fund are recognized as tax-deductible giving and will be distributed directly to Live Oak faculty and staff in December each year.

How will the funds be distributed?

Given their direct impact on our children, faculty will receive the largest share of your generous giving. Funds will also be gifted in proportion to time worked. Thus, full-time faculty will receive the greatest gifts in honor of their significant impact on our students and school community.

When will gifts be collected and distributed?

The C in GRACE stands for Christmas. We seek to bless our faculty and staff abundantly at a time of year when it matters most. We ask you to give once and give now. As the R in GRACE signifies, we encourage every family to give Richly as Paul describes in 2 Corinthians, for we have confidence that:

“He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God.” 2 Corinthians 9:10-11

Giving richly is different for every family. As we give with cheerful hearts, we know these gifts will multiply and bless our faculty and staff with abundance!

How can I give?

What Live Oak Means To Our Community
While putting my 4 year old child to bed we normally sing songs as he drifts off to sleep that are gospel or hymnal songs. After three months of being a Junior Kindergarten student at Live Oak, my son informed me that tonight he wanted me to sing a new song. I asked him what song, and he replied, “Sing the Doxology, Dad.” He then sang the song for me, and in that moment my heart was touched as I realized the everlasting qualities Live Oak was assisting me as a parent through planting the seeds of songs to God that will carry with my son for a lifetime. This is only one story, and I must say that my heart is touched, changed, and blessed beyond measure by Live Oak through the overflow of my child’s education but even more by his deepening love for our Savior Jesus Christ.
