Cheer

The Live Oak Falcon high school cheerleaders are a game day and competition team participating in TAPPS 3A cheer and dance competitions. The cheerleaders cheer at football and basketball games, promote school spirit by hosting pep rallies and spirit nights for home football games, host Kidz Kamp and the Lil’ Leaders cheer clinic, support our community through events like the Jingle Jog and Readathon, and represent our school in the Baylor Homecoming parade. The Falcon cheerleaders also host the Heart of Texas Spirit showcase in the fall, a game day invitational for TAPPS and UIL teams preparing for competition.

The Falcon cheerleaders fulfill the mission of Live Oak by supporting athletic events and school organizations and entertaining the Live Oak community. Through these experiences, they help to uphold the character and integrity of Live Oak through the cheerleaders’ attitude, actions, and support of fellow students, fans, and alumni. 

Drawing on one of the core values of Live Oak- “We instill a sense of citizenship in students through character-building and leadership opportunities, the intentional teaching of good habits and virtues, and an emphasis on community involvement, especially through service opportunities. ” – our cheerleaders make a positive difference in the lives of the faculty and student body of all LOCS by developing character, leadership, and personal growth through good sportsmanship, teamwork, positive attitudes, and general kindness and preference towards others. Live Oak cheerleaders are role models to other students, demonstrating Christian charity and benevolence to opponents in competition, towards their teammates in practice, and towards themselves in their personal goal setting.
