More about our Administrators

Alison Moffatt (Head of School): As a school founder, Mrs. Moffatt has been the only Head of Live Oak Classical School for 16 years as well as serving as an ex officio member of the Board of Live Oak. Currently, she serves on the Advisory Board for the Center for Christian Education at Baylor University. Mrs. Moffatt previously served on the board of the Society for Classical Learning for six years and formerly served on the Texas Christian Athletic League board. She graduated summa cum laude from Baylor University with a B.A. in English and from Texas A&M with an M.Ed. in Education Administration. Mrs. Moffatt previously worked as the Assistant Director of Admissions at Rice University and taught leadership and student development classes at Dallas Baptist University and the University of Dallas. She is married to Dr. Todd Moffatt. Her sons, David and Philip, and daughter, Kate, are graduates of Live Oak Classical School.

Justin Rosolino (Dean of Logic and Rhetoric Schools): Born in Long Island, New York, Mr. Rosolino graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Virginia, where he studied political theory, philosophy, history and music. An accomplished guitarist, singer and songwriter, Mr. Rosolino worked for ten years as a professional musician. He has performed in over forty states and composed television and radio commercial jingles for ABC primetime television, J. Walter Thompson advertising agency and Pulse Media. He also played guitar and led worship at Northpoint Community Church in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2010, Mr. Rosolino completed a Master of Divinity degree at Vanderbilt University, where he was awarded the Tillet Prize for Theological Studies by the faculty. He has since lectured at conferences for the American Academy of Religion on diverse topics including modern theology, philosophy of mind and interreligious dialogue. Formerly, Mr. Rosolino served as chair of the History Department at Brentwood Academy in Nashville, Tennessee, where he taught classes in World History and Religion. He and his wife currently reside in Woodway with their 2 adorable boys.

Allison Trumble (Assistant Dean of Logic and Rhetoric Schools): Ms. Trumble has a B.A. in English from Ouachita Baptist University, where she also studied Latin and Spanish for her language concentration, and she completed coursework for an M.A. in English from Baylor. Before coming to Live Oak, Ms. Trumble taught in both public and private high schools and for six years taught both of the freshman composition courses at Baylor. She has also taught piano lessons after school at Live Oak for several years. Ms. Trumble is in her 14th year at Live Oak.

Jennifer Bankhead (Assistant Dean of Student Life for Logic and Rhetoric Schools): Mrs. Bankhead earned a B.A. in Literature from Baylor University in 2006 and a master’s degree in educational leadership from West Texas A&M University in 2018. She holds a Texas secondary certification in English and educational administration. Prior to serving at Live Oak, she spent eleven years in public education. She and her husband Michael have three children: Ian (Grammar 3), Ezra (Kindergarten) and Samantha (2-years old). While this is only her first year working at Live Oak, she has been a part of the Live Oak community for the past four years through her children.

Allison Buras (Dean of Grammar School): Founding Live Oak alongside Alison Moffatt and Carolyn Still marked the fulfillment of a dream that began twenty years ago around a Dallas dinner table. Mrs. Buras attended Baylor University for her undergraduate degree in English with a minor in History. After college she earned a lifetime teaching certificate for grades Pre-K through 8. Mrs. Buras has worked in education for 20 years teaching K, 1, 2, and high school English as well as serving in various administrative positions. She completed a Master of Theological Studies degree at Truett Seminary, where she was able to also study Christian Education at Baylor’s School of Education and at Regent College. She is married to Todd Buras, who is a professor in the Philosophy Department at Baylor, and together they have three sons, two of whom are in the Logic/Rhetoric Schools at Live Oak Classical School.

Alisha Barker (Assistant Dean of Grammar School): During her 10 years at Live Oak, Mrs. Barker has taught Grammar 1, Grammar 4 and Grammar 5. She now serves as Assistant Dean of the Grammar School. Prior to moving to Waco, she and her husband taught English in Taiwan for three years. She loves reading, writing, hiking, being outdoors, and a good cup of tea. Mrs. Barker earned a B.A. in English Literature with a minor in Philosophy and Biblical Studies at Dallas Baptist University and earned an M.A. in English at Baylor. She and her husband Amos, who works in Baylor’s Financial Aid department, have four children.

Kim Morrison (Enrollment Management Director): Mrs. Morrison attended Oklahoma Baptist University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She worked as an RN in Shawnee, Oklahoma for 5 years before moving to Waco. Mrs. Morrison worked as a stay-at-home mom with her 4 children until 2009. That year, her youngest started at Live Oak and she worked part-time as the Development Coordinator. She has since transitioned to the full-time position of Admissions Coordinator, then her current roll of Enrollment Management Director. She enjoys meeting new families and sharing with them about the beauty of a classical, Christian education. She has 2 children who are graduates of Live Oak and 2 children who are current students.

Jeremy Crews (School Chaplain): Mr. Crews is in his sixth year at Live Oak. As School Chaplain, he is interested in helping create a school culture that forms students to love God and the things that God loves. He grew up in Anniston, Alabama before going to college at the University of Mobile in Mobile, Alabama, where he received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Theology and Humanities, with minors in English and Philosophy. He then moved to Waco to complete a Master of Divinity degree in Theology at Truett Seminary. Mr. Crews is married to Katie Crews and is “dada” to his one-year-old daughter Emmaus.

Robin Lewis (Assistant to Administration): This is Mrs. Lewis’ 5th year with Live Oak. She serves as the Assistant to Administration and has served in various executive/administrative assistant roles during the majority of her 23 year career. Mrs. Lewis is married to Kenneth, and they have one grown son who proudly serves in the United States Navy. He has been stationed in California for the past two years and before that was stationed in Japan for six-and-a-half years. The Lewises have six fuzzy, four-legged children (who bring much joy to their lives and home) and two fuzzy, four-legged grand-children. Mrs. Lewis enjoys singing, listening to and participating in music of many various genres, homemaking, and crafting.
